Some people don't know how. Maybe try explaining how instead of posting sarcastic comments.

I'm guessing a new "Group Formation" or something would be the next thing for Anet to implement. Post up what profession you are, and people could pull for their groups from the window.

Ok... considering sarcasm isn't read well.. I was wondering why he/she didn't do that without sarcasm...

'Highlight the name in the chat window, hold the control key down and click 'c' then move your mouse over to the party window and click on the spare space where you'd normally type the name into.. then hold the control key down again and click 'v''

There.. happy guys? btw, it works in most other applications you'd find on the computer too...

(ESL btw, so if my instructions suck.. tough luck)

No matter how many times people post those instructions, I always promptly forget about doing that when I get in the game. I'm guessing that for some, they'd never seen or thought about that before, and for others (me) it just slips their minds.

I wish you could do that for names in your whisper window: copy and paste the name from the whisper to your party window. The couple times I've remembered the trick and tried, it didn't work.

I don't even understand how they could have not made some sort of grouping tool that doesn't involve tediously typing people's names in or searching through a mob to invite yourself.
if u dont know the players name, or cant play him, anet has made this ridiculously easy

when some1 talks, u can click there name, which will put you in whisper mode to send them a whisper, once their names appears in that whisper mode, highlight it, press Ctrl+C then press Ctrl+V in your empy party slot

So that'll be another month of threads complaining about how bored we are and how much ppl think the AI sucks.

Anet is pretty clueless sometimes...

This game is BUILT upon teamplay, and yet there is absolutely no in-game feature to support party formation... (aside from the actual party window...)

and don't get my started about a lack of storage.

This isn't a thread to bitch about how slow Anet implements things, nor is it a thread to whine at each other. This is a thread, much like Amity & Truth's "Does The Elite Mission Exist" thread from not long ago, merely to see whether I can get any official word, one way or the other, anything at all, on this subject.

Good luck on getting an official word. I'm still trying, after more than two weeks, to get some comment on the messed up character faces from way back in September.

Meh, I would be so happy if they implement it as seen on the suggestions thread somewhere (maybe even here), a person that made a perfect presentation of a perfect LFG system.
"Cross-district party formation system" and "Elite Mission" is on the manual, also that "Razah". Hopefully the Major Update has it coming.
I guess we are not shooting ANet for not putting these features on release, but we would love to know if we are guaranteed to see these missing features on the upcoming Major Update.
